Paris: Plon. 2004. 662 p.).) is devoted to the study of quality and direction of migration flows after the collapse of the Soviet Union and, more broadly, the Soviet bloc. The author explores not only the ‘near abroad ‘ but also the ‘far abroad’ as points of attraction of migration flows. The book contains a lot of facts, based not only on secondary sources, but also on the original author’s research, creating a vivid image of post-Soviet Russian society.
